Shames Mountain is nestled in the Coast Mountain Range 137km (85 miles) east of Prince Rupert BC and 38km (23 miles) west of Terrace BC, where our downtown office is located. We average 40 feet (120m) of snow per year, more than any other lift-served ski area in North America. Our 1600 foot lift service is made up of one double chair-lift, one t-bar, and one tow-rope within our 133 acres of 'snow-heaven'. At the lodge, enjoy a drink in Galloways Bar, a tasty lunch in our Panhandler Cafe, or bring your own lunch and sit at one of the many tables in the main lobby of our lodge or on the sun deck overlooking the beautiful scenery and the double chair. Our rental shop caters to both skiers and snowboarders, and our ski school offers lessons for the beginner through to advanced skiers.

 

During Christmas and Spring Break we offer 3-day McDonald's Kids Camps for children ages 5-14 years old. Additionally we offer group rates, school rates and discounts on books of ten tickets. Our lift tickets are affordably priced with 2004/2005 prices ranging from $35 full-day for adult to free for children 6 years and under.
